Have you seen those contests where the librarian has shredded the pages of a book, and placed them in a jar?

I loved the idea of a book in a jar, but the idea of actually shredding the books to create this contest left me horrified. I just can't bring myself to shred books. I decided to create a digital version. I used a word cloud generator to create these digital books in a jar. I input text from each book and created a word cloud. If you visit my teachers pay teachers store, you will find a chapter book version and a picture book version of this game.
Do you think you can guess the children's book title based on the most common words from that book?
Each word cloud shows some of the most common words found in each book. I work in a K-5 elementary school, so I created some word clouds for my younger students and some for my older students. I have found that some of the 4th and 5th graders also enjoy trying the picture book games too.

The words that are often repeated in the book will appear larger in the word cloud. In the example above the words bus, pigeon, drive, and driver are all fairly large. Can you guess which famous children's book this word cloud represents?

Did you guess the word cloud correctly?!? If you want to try the other word clouds, please visit my Teachers Pay Teachers Store. You can buy a picture book version with 25 book titles. I have also listed a chapter book version with 20 book titles.
